This is a special issue of the magazine of the radical librarian group, Librarians for Social Change, devoted to the topic of women in libraries. Edited by Sherry Jespersen, the issue cited the statistic that while women made up 80% of new entrants into the library profession and 60% of the current profession, men held 98.1% of the highest-level posts. Articles addressed the issues of collection development and feminism, censorship, job-sharing and the impact of library automation on women.
