  • establish named bursaries for students to undertake study on the history of London
  • fund postgraduate research posts to allow doctoral students to take advantage of the research environment and expertise of the Centre’s staff

    New funding will develop this important resource through the inclusion of library and archive links, and archaeological material

The Poor Law, society’s most basic welfare safety net, affected the lives of generations of Londoners

Provide support for a comprehensive online resource for the detailed study of the subject, which will identify the surviving documentation and provide information on the content and inter-relationship of the complex records
