RADICAL NO. 2 (19--)

Radical (Tokyo, Japan : 1973), Radical (Tokyo, Japan : IDEA Pub. House, 1973-) [Heisler] P4136  No. 2

It is difficult to imagine the journey which such a publication might have had to bring it ultimately into the hands of Ron Heisler and then Senate House Library. A clearly amateur newsletter, Radical bemoans the dissolution of the Japanese Anarchists’ Federation in 1968, and argues passionately for the establishment of an Anarchist Federation of Japan. Written in English, though this is clearly not the writer’s first language, it also criticizes Europe for seeing Japan as ‘nothing but an exotic country filled with gold or cherry blossom or high growth rate of economy’.
