Spanish Young Socialists Defence Campaign, Broadsheet: Smash Franco (London : SYSDC, [197-]) [Heisler] P3165
This brightly coloured pamphlet is an ephemeral fragment which reflects a coming together of at least two distinct political struggles. The Spanish Young Socialists Defence Campaign was closely associated with the Labour Party Young Socialists, a group which was in itself frequently identified with the controversial Trotskyist group Militant. This event seems to have been held in 1975, a year which saw both Franco’s death and the British Labour Party’s official report into the influence of Militant, which resulted in a protracted and bitter internal debate.
