This project emerged from the conference ‘London’s women historians: a celebration and a conversation’ held at the Institute of Historical Research, University of London (IHR). The day ended with the launch of a portrait exhibition of 20 London women historians, on the walls of the IHR staircase.

These portraits are reproduced in this online exhibition, along with accompanying bibliographic data and podcasts of the conference talks.

The project was a collaboration between the IHR and King's College London.
