Making History, developed by the Institute of Historical Research, is a website dedicated to the history of the study and practice of history in Britain over the last hundred years and more, following the emergence of the professional discipline in the late 19th century.

It includes more than 70 original articles discussing key historical themes and developments, biographies of some of the major historians of the past century, interviews with leading practitioners of history today, and a unique image gallery.
