Historians of 'Past and Present'
Past and Present is an influential journal influenced by the Annales School of historians and set up in 1952 by a combination of Marxist (including members of the Communist Party Historians Group) and non-Marxist historians. It aimed (and aims) to cover history in its totality and, while being scholarly, to be accessible to the general reader.
