Founded in 1968 by E. P. Thompson among others, the Centre for the Study of Social History at Warwick University concentrated on research and postgraduate study in the fields of labour and social history. Although seen as influential and pioneering in its day, it was eventually absorbed into the Warwick History Department in 1998, and its staff transferred. All its records remain in the Warwick Modern Records Centre, and a full list can be found here.
