Vinogradoff, Sir Paul Gavrilovitch (1854–1925)

A leading historian of jurisprudence and medieval England, Vinogradoff pioneered the use of the continental-style seminar at Oxford. Through it he trained a generation of medievalists, including the likes of Helen Cam and Frank Stenton.
