Historical Association
Activities of HA membership
The Historical Association (HA) was founded in 1906 and from the outset was intended to be complementary to the Royal Historical Society (RHS). It brought together teachers of history, from primary level to university, and a large body of those with a general interest. It has sought to promote the subject through the activities of its many local branches (lectures, historical outings), through its various publications (Primary History, Teaching History, The Historian and History) and through its role as a pressure group and 'voice' for history.
