Presentations
Fortuitously for us perhaps, while we were busy on the Project, school history once more entered the political spotlight and became a matter of debate not only within the 'history education community' but also in the mainstream press, in university history departments and amongst eminent historians. It was a promising period in which to present our findings as they emerged from the research. We include here a series of presentations, given at different times between 2009 and 2011, to various audiences at conferences and meetings of teachers and other interested parties. They provide an insight into the issues which were emerging as significant for the Project and the tentative conclusions we were drawing about them.
